My students love the project based learning they do in my class. They get to take ownership of the content while developing important social skills such as communication and collaboration. In the past they've conducted most of their research on their phones or across campus in the library. This summer we were gifted a class set of 30 tablets which I can't wait to show my kids when school starts. While setting up my classroom I realized how difficult it might be to keep 30 tablets charged at all times in a building that was designed in 1968. There are only 4 outlets in our room. We need charging ports. I also want to make sure the screens stay protected so that students can use these gifts for years to come. Finally multiple students will be handling these tablets every day so I want to do my best to curb the spread of germs with tissues and hand sanitizer.
