In my classroom my friends love to read. They have worked really hard to build their reading stamina. In the beginning they could only read to self for one minute and thirty seconds. Now they can go fifteen to twenty minutes. My students love to read to themselves or to a partner because they know that they are becoming better readers. My kiddos enjoy learning and we work hard on having a growth mindset. Believing that with practice we can do anything we put our minds into has made challenging times more successful.
