My neighbor classroom has stability balls as a seating alternative. My students decided that this would be a great asset for our room as well. They also chose balance discs for the chairs at our computer station. We currently do yoga to get our bodies and brains ready to learn. By adding the stability balls we will be able to take care of any extra energy they have, while not interrupting learning. My students are hoping to have stability balls, and discs as alternative seating during their stations and independent work. As a teacher, these options will be easy to include in our classroom routine, while making a huge impact on learning and health potential.
