The use of a document camera in our classroom would allow my students to see the writing process projected on the board. They will be able to watch and see how an author (teacher) gathers thoughts to create a story from rough draft to final copy. The majority of my students learn visually through examples. A document camera would benefit my students and allow them to become confident writers.
With your help, my students can grow visually in their learning. My students learn through examples. A document camera will allow my students to learn how to create a variety of writing samples. They will be able to put the pieces of their writing together in order to create more descriptive stories. Once the final copies of their stories are completed, they can use the document camera to share the story with the class.
I am teaching a new writing program this year. The document camera is needed so we can work together on a writing sample before creating our own piece of writing. It will allow the students to see how writing transforms from thoughts to rough draft to final copy.
