Students will learn how to code while using the Dash and Dot computers. Students will engage in challenges to meet a mission goal while working in teams. Students will work together in teams to program their robots to perform complex, multi step tasks. Students will be able to work with the robots during lunches, study halls and after school. According to code.org, computer science drives our economy, yet our students do not have the opportunity to learn how to code. Using the robots will give our students an opportunity to learn how to code that will hopefully spark them to take coding classes at the high school. Coding will allow students to work on the important skills of critical thinking, inquiry and collaboration while they are having fun.
