"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are." - Mason Cooley Reading allows my students to take adventures that, otherwise, would never be possible. Classic novels are an essential part of a high school English classroom. These novels would benefit many students on a daily basis. They will be exposed to characters from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. This project will allow my students the opportunity to practice the reading skills that are taught throughout the year, and hopefully develop a lifelong love of reading. These books will be used for in-class reading and discussion for both 9th and 10th grades.
