Reading takes you places you have never been. It allows you to dream and imagine places you have not seen. It also creates vivid images within our minds. By providing the materials needed students will be reading exciting on level books that will increase their reading ability. My current classroom library does not have a huge variety of books in order for them to practice fluency, comprehension, or vocabulary. These classroom books would better assist them in becoming fluent readers. It would also help them improve their vocabulary skills by reading higher order words. I am very excited for them to have more choices when looking to check a book out. A majority of them do not have a lot of books at home so by getting these new books it would allow them to have books at home to read.
