We have a print-rich classroom, but are lacking the big boost that technology provides! I have requested 4 Samsung Galaxy tablets to make it easier to share thoughts and favorite reads online. These tablets will enhance my in-class research on the effects of mini-speeches on students' comprehension and speaking skills. Our classroom is composed of students that have speech challenges and also those that are learning English as a second language. With these tablets, students will be able to listen to and read stories on apps such as "Epic!" and "Reading Rainbow". They will also be able to create mini-speeches about their stories through websites such as "FlipGrid."
