These materials will allow me to develop a more tailored style learning to reach my lowest, middle and highest learners. I can engage some students with the listening centers, while working one-on-one with those who need more remediation support. It will provide me with enough materials to meet the needs of all my students in the classroom.
Some of my students have never been to school and do not know their letters and sound, while other have begun to read. I have to reach my lower learners, and at the same time, engage my higher learners and push their thinking. The listening centers will support my struggling students in phonemic awareness, phonics and word recognition skills. This will build their reading fluency and comprehension skills. The language skills learning centers will provide engaging opportunities for critical thinking activities and writing ideas. The photo card libraries will give kids a visual and word to help them remember names, places and meanings. The readers will provide students with non-fiction, meaningful text to increase their knowledge about the world around them.
