My students are eager to try new and exciting forms of making music. When I received a donation from a local hardware store of five gallon buckets, students were beyond excited to begin making music together. We used wooden dowels to play last year, but the force of hitting them against a bucket broke many of the sticks. I want my students to be able to bang and play without having to worry about tapping softly so that the sticks don't break. These sticks and extra drums would help us create a well rounded, functioning drumming ensemble that will encourage students to pursue music learning beyond elementary school.
