As an advocate for education, I believe it is a personal mission to accommodate to all learners and provide opportunities for them to be successful. By offering alternative seating around the classroom, I can manipulate our environment to ensure an area where my kids can feel comfortable and get that extra space for movement in. With an integrated classroom, it makes it difficult and not very comfortable for my special ed students to join in on group learning. By having a large carpet, my kids can all have an opportunity to be together and complete group projects. I want to create an area that is comfortable and safe for all of my children to thrive no matter what learning modality is their strong suit.
