I am requesting a laptop computer which I will use when going to teach at the hospital or homes of students. Having a computer will open up a whole new experience to these children who are not physically able to go out into the world. They are not able to go on field trips, go to the library or even socialize with other students their age. A computer at home or in the hospital will allow my students to access books, materials, and even experiences they would not otherwise imagine. We could work on projects and investigations which are not available to them at this time. Their lives and learning would be greatly enhanced by having access to a computer.
