Meet my middle school band students! They are all highly motivated to do as well as they can and are some of the best kids you will find anywhere. As you can see our band of 38 7th and 8th graders have to find a way each day to fit in a small classroom. We also have very limited supplies and equipment. There are many needs that need to be met to keep this band functioning and playing well. Right now we are in need of music stands, a bass guitars, and bass guitar amp. About 20 of these students are involved in our jazz band class that we started this year. We have an older make shift drum set that I had repaired and bought parts for. Right now we have a tuba player playing the bass parts but he would very much like to learn bass guitar. Obviously we do not have the funds to supply this student with the opportunity. This would be a tremendous help as these students will continue on to the high school.
