I am a 5th grade teacher in Alisal Union School District in Salinas, CA. The school where I teach is located in a high-need community. There is a strong gang presence in the neighborhood and my students are looking for a safe alternative. My school does not receive extra funds, so I have to reach into my own pocket to supply basic materials. With your support, our students will have the tools necessary to prepare them for what lies ahead!
