In my class we are trying flexible seating. We have only 2 fitness ball seats. My students asked could we get some more of these seats because they were better than sitting in chairs. They also noticed another teacher had Hooki stools and asked could we get some for our class as well. Several of my students like to sit on the floor and I thought they would enjoy the Backpatter's seats as well as the fit all wedge edges which would help with posture and core balance. Also the lighting in our room is fluorescent. As this type of lighting is harsh on the eyes when reading, the tranquil light filters will make it healthier on the eyesore my students. They said that these materials would help them focus better on their work and help them move around instead of sitting in a chair all day. I have noticed that the students given the opportunity to move while completing class activities, not only focus better but are healthier because they are moving and learning at the same time.
