We are moving towards a digital classroom, so having the ability to manipulate things on the screen with ease is essential for student participation and engagement. Many of the students have had their Chromebooks for the past three years, so their trackpads are worn down or nearly broken. The students all work diligently on their computers, but can get discouraged or frustrated when their gear does not work properly. These mice will help them to focus more on the tasks and content, rather than the frustrating clicking and dragging. I'm sure that with these additional mice, the students will be able to complete their tasks in a more efficient manner, and will be more confident in their work since they will not have to worry about whether or not they can complete it based on the functionality of their 3-year-old devices.
