Our students with autism require support to cope with their environment. Equipment such as weighted vests and noise cancelling headphones help them filter out the excess stimuli in their environment so they can concentrate on learning. Without these tools they may become overwhelmed and withdraw or have a melt down. This interferes with learning. When students have the right support, they can grow and learn beyond expectations. Students that have language deficits may begin to use words. Those that have difficulty sitting and attending to a task may be able to focus for longer periods of time. Every child deserves the opportunity to live their best life. These tools will help make that possible.
