The flexible seating options I am requesting for my students will help them to focus better during instruction time. The class set of stability balls will allow all students to have a secondary focus for their body to encourage them to zone in on the work they are doing. My kids will be able to focus on their work and not on the wiggles that they naturally need to get out. With their core engaged to hold themselves up, they will spend more time engaged in active learning and less time trying to focus on sitting still. Hyperactive students need extra support to improve their focus and these options will give them the support they need. The wobble stools will be used at the small group table to help us stay on task and engaged in our learning. Keeping students engaged in the learning is one of the hardest things in a classroom where students do not have to ability to sit still for long periods of time. Your donations will help our class stay engaged and on task as we work hard to improve our skills and close our achievement gaps!
