Dramatic play is a type of play where children assign and accept roles and act them out. It’s pretending to be someone or something else. It is play that involves breaking down the barriers of reality and results in serious and natural learning. When students are given the opportunity to act and role play it teaches self-regulation and conflict resolution, encourages language development, supports math and literacy; and best of all it is empowering to the child. Our students will be able to role play with these materials which will nicely support our Domain 2 - Community Helpers. In this particular domain the students will learn about community helpers in their neighborhoods.
