My students are eager to learn and much of what we do in my classroom involves research or background knowledge that the Chromebooks will lend themselves to finding. Encyclopedias are obsolete and it is difficult to get enough technology for all the students to access the information they need. I teach Reader's and Writer's Workshop to a group of talented, hardworking students. I want to keep that energy and excitement for learning! While they read and write about specific periods of time, they can research information that will be more useful. Additionally, while they write, they can use their creativity to present their writing a different way, such as creating a book, or a podcast, or a slideshow, all using the Chromebooks.
