The majority of the students I work with are small groups of English Language Learners with reading difficulties, but many of them also have difficulties in the areas of math, logical thinking, spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, executive functioning, and the list goes on. Additionally, they are all at different levels academically. The Osmo games automatically make learning more fun because students get to use technology, but they also address individual needs, which is fantastic. As if that isn't exciting enough, the games can be played individually or in competition against another player, and they allow players to progress through increasingly difficult levels. Having this as a station in my room will allow students to get the practice they need while allowing me to deliver intense intervention to the other students in the group.
