Hello everyone! My name is Kurt Floyd and I am a third grade Science and Social Studies teacher at Seagoville Elementary School, a Title 1 school in the Dallas Independent School District. I teach three classes of 8, 9, and 10 year old kids with a total of 67 students. Our students families income rank among the lowest in the district. These kids I interact with on a daily basis are among the best I have ever had the privilege of knowing and they deserve the very best, but sometimes do not receive it because of their socioeconomic status.
