My students are able to relate and learn from the stories they experience in books. Books provide us with a connection to use throughout the year in the development of the skills and mindset we are working toward every single day. For example, if a student is at a stuck point, I can get them back on track by asking, "What would Mojo do in this situation?" These simple connections allow them the refocus they need to get back on track and figure out their next step. Books also provide the perfect amount of distance to see their problems through someone else's eyes.

About my class
