As I prepare for my third year of teaching I am headed to a new district and a new grade level! I've taught kindergarten and 1st grade and am now moving on up to 5th! I am looking forward to learning all about the upper grade level. I have been spending the beginning of this summer looking into different ways I can engage and challenge my incoming students. I want my new fifth graders to be excited about learning and have access to everything they need for the year! After sorting through the materials I've gained over the past two years I realize there is a lot I need to have a functioning 5th grade classroom! I strive to instill a positive atmosphere in my classroom where we really embody our overall motto of "treat others the way you want to be treated." I want my students to develop a deep love for learning and become kind citizens. I am so excited about this upcoming school year and can't wait to get started!
