With donors, I will be able to supply our classroom which is lacking in adequate literacy materials. Currently we do not have storage for books. The leveled reading storage cart with bins will provide that for our classroom! Imagine books being able to actually be within their reach! In addition to that, the I Can readers, ready to read alongs and the readers theater script box will be a welcome change to ignite the students passion for reading as we have a small selection of outdated leveled readers. If you contribute to our project you will be helping this Kumu open doors and give the gift of reading to her students. To build up our letter and writing skills The students will use the lower case alphabet beads, lower case letter stamps and sight word magnets to work on their fine motor skills while building cvc, cvcc and sight words. For small group rotation we will use the reading & writing instant learning centers to change up our routine. We look forward to using the blends and digraph teaching tubs to actively support our curriculum. We will use them for our guided reading groups, plays and dear time. The use of the reading center area and the cd player will give them a space to relax and enjoy listening centers in our classroom for which now there is not a place. Help us foster a life time love of reading!
