I have requested a laminator and laminating stock for our classroom. My kids need to be able to use and reuse our classroom materials throughout the year. We do similar activities each day because my students learn through repetition. Laminated items can be used and reused throughout the school year and from year to year. We use visual daily schedules with icons that help students navigate and give structure to their day, allowing them to focus on academic and day to day processes. Kids with special needs are rough on materials and paper does not last. Laminated visuals are a great learning tool for my students. Laminating also helps to make the materials more durable and lasting. Also laminated items can be cleaned with a sanitizer each day.
