My students are highly competitive and playing word and reading games is one very good way of ensuring participation in my class. The buzzers will work wonders with the beat-the-clock type games we play like Jeopardy. The white board paddles are color-coded which will make randomization, pairing, and grouping much easier. I have about 6 white boards for my students to use at present, which means students have to share. This isn't optimal, especially when we are working on visualization skills and grammar. In all, these materials will enable me to create a more game-based, student-centered, and individualized lessons in which my students will be more able to shine and be proud of their accomplishments.
