Hello potential donors! Thank you for visiting my page. I am a kindergarten teacher of 21 students in a public school in Washington DC. My students are of African-American descent with 99% of them receiving free or reduced school meals. Our school is located in a high poverty neighborhood with high levels of unemployment. The majority of my students live in public housing and some are currently living in temporary housing shelters. Despite the socioeconomic challenges we face within our school community, my students enjoy learning and they are very creative. I know that all my students are talented and they will achieve great things beyond kindergarten. So far I have purchased several classroom supplies but it is difficult to provide items for each student. These resources will support all learners and improve our learning environment.
