My students need access to materials that are academically appropriate, age-appropriate, and pique their interests. Because learning is a social activity, my students also need physical books they can share with one another. Your donation for this project will allow a whole new level of learning to take place in the classroom. The Kindle Fire tablets will allow students to borrow books through the public library and use our school's subscription to myON. The e-readers also allow access to hundreds of learning apps, including apps that help build math, social, and daily living skills. My students read with buddies consisting of peers from a general education classroom. They need National Geographic books to read and learn together!
