I teach juniors and seniors in high school how to be the exceptional preschool teachers we need to meet the need in our area. The book "Play: The Foundation that Supports the House of Higher Learning" walks students through the 7 things they need to do every day to make learning a successful endeavor for the students. Teaching is a new experience, and they need good examples to emulate. She helps young teachers link play experiences to skills and base knowledge they need to succeed later on in life. This book urges teachers to base learning from what they can do, not their deficiencies. Many students will see examples of teaching that are not student directed but are teacher directed. This book provides a basis for students to build an innovative classroom around. The book also uses up-to-date research to back her assertions. They need to be inspired to construct preschoolers to create learning environments where children learn through play. Please help me build better classrooms through my students.
