We will be studying flowers in a close up view, inspired by the artist Georgia O'keeffe. We will be studying how flowers have evolved to attract insects, and the psychology behind why we find flowers appealing. When we study smaller dimensions of flowers, it will help my class to see its beauty at all levels. We will also be able to learn about how to use chalk pastels. This will be a brand new medium for the school and will allow my students to expand their knowledge. Learning how to work with something new can be a fun and challenging adventure for my students.
