My little scientists are eager to care for living organisms and learn about the responsibility of making wise decisions for our planet Earth. The kindergarten students will conduct scientific investigations and reasoning using age-appropriate tools to investigate the natural world. They will construct explanations based on observations and communicate their thinking. The students will explore the components and interactions of an ecosystem. I am asking for an aquarium kit along with accessories and extra filters, plant food, aquarium food, a scrunge scrub sponge, and other materials. To help nurture a zest of learning and curiosity for scientific investigations we will explore the underwater world through the lens of an aquarium. My students will explore the wide array of habitats from the plants and animals. They’ll discover that each habitat has its own special character, living conditions and requirements, and associated community of plants and animals specially adapted to life. The students will investigate the habitat and open-water species adaptations such as camouflage, physical features and common patterns.
