My co-teacher and I started this project to help our students' listening skills. We use programs like DuoLingo which is a language-learning program that is measured at the person's own progression. On DuoLingo, students can practice and playback their pronunciation during listening/speaking exercises, and also be able to listen to directions. With these headphones students can practice while being respectful to their neighbors. These headphones will allow our ELL students to practice listening, reading, speaking, writing activities on programs like DuoLingo or Brainpop to build our English language skills. During silent reading time, students will be able to read audible books online with programs like MyOn, or use i-Ready take practice tests to build reading, writing, and math skills.
