With a plethora of needs in our class, this technology will be invaluable. Students will be able to use iPads or Tablets to address communication needs, strengthen OT skills, and increase attention in order to make academic and social gains. These devices can be used for small group instruction or to adapt work to meet the needs of individual students in my class. Writing, math, and literacy lessons will be uploaded on to slides so that students can use their fingers to write with as they strengthen their muscles. Additionally, assessments can be adapted using the devices so that students have a better opportunity for success. Lastly, technology will be used to supplement reading and math instruction through online subscriptions to reading and math intervention programs.
