These gardening and planting material will be used by students to learn and experience planting and tending. The microgreens requested will be grown and then consumed by the students and will serve as a lesson in growing plants as well as a lesson in healthy snacking. The growing process will empower students as they take responsibility and tend to a tray of plants. Students will experience the different groups within the plant kingdom. As they learn about vascular and non vascular plants they will be growing them and labeling them. The plant stand will allow the students to grow a variety of different plants meeting the interests of all of the students.
