These four big beanbag seats will help me provide a comfortable place for my students to read and learn. They need a calm environment to increase their current reading abilities. Placing the beanbag seats in a remote location in the room will create an area where they can focus and read independently. While students are reading independently, classical music will play in the background to emphasize the calm setting while in the self selected reading corner. Being in a stress free reading environment will encourage students to want to read more frequently. This in turn will cause them to look forward to the time they get to sit in beanbag seats and read their book of choice. Developing and empowering young minds through positive and nurturing reading experiences is a dream for all teachers. Students feeling safe and comfortable is a key to success in our school. My goal is to help my students be successful in life by building a solid reading foundation early in their lives.
