All of my students demonstrate a desire to learn and develop as academics and individuals. These students, who all have IEPs, need extra support and resources to accomplish their goals. The iPad minis will provide my students with access to videos and hands-on practice that supplements their learning and increases comprehension. The iPads offer individualized learning and provide students with the access to academic content that they deserve. The iPads will be given to students during class and in the Resource Room if they demonstrate difficulty with a topic. They will be instructed to view instructional videos made by myself and my colleagues that show them step-by-step how to master the skill. Furthermore, they will be able to view videos and activities crafted by educators and education websites to increase their exposure to topics and provide them with many diverse representations of the content. Additionally, as technology improves and becomes increasingly immersed in our daily lives, it is imperative that my students develop the skills to use technology safely and effectively. My students do not have access to technology in the classroom and many lack access to technology at home. In order to be successful in their future careers, they must be given the opportunity to learn both academic and technological skills.
