This year our school district is focusing on literacy to fulfill our mission to produce high-achieving students and realize our vision of a world class school system. The donations for this project will provide my students with their own copy of Wonder, an engaging text that will be used to teach a social issues unit as well as teach Common Core literacy skills such as making inferences, identifying character traits and motivations, and determining theme and point of view. Having a book for each student will afford all of my students the opportunity of reaching their individual literacy goals. "When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind." ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
