Having sensory items in my classroom will allow my students to take much needed sensory breaks throughout the day. The students will be able to ease their minds of the stressful school day and relax in our sensory area. In our sensor section, students will be able to bounce on exercise balls or manipulate the Yuck-e balls. With each new day in an elementary support classroom comes a new adventure. My students range in grades 3-5 and have all different abilities. My hope is to incorporate several seating options for my students. These options will include bean bags or workout balls. Giving students the ability to choose their preferred seating arrangements will allow for decision making and the option to sit comfortably throughout the day.
