I am asking for twenty different games including the Spot it Alphabet Game, Candy Land Game as well as one master set of Young Architects Design Blocks, two sets of Playstixs, a LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick Box, and a Zoob® Car Designer set. With the help of this grant the students in our before and after school program will have many hands-on engaging activities to keep their minds active. The children will get their creativity going with open ended building activities like Zoobs and Playstixs. They will also have a wide selection of small group board games such as Candy Land and Trouble and other interactive games like Bop It and Charades for Kids. With having such a wide variety of students ranging from so many different ages it is important to have a variety activities. We also feel that these activities will allow them to just be kids since they have spent a large amount of time focusing on their academics we want them to have the opportunity to have a brain break and just play.
