These supplies will allow me to quickly transform my classroom into a Breakout Room where students are presented engaging learning games aligned to core academic subjects and standards. The room will be set up with hidden clues, the requested locks, keys, locked boxes and other mystery items. Students will be presented with a story that includes real world problems requiring teamwork, critical thinking, and troubleshooting that appeal to their natural curiosity and desire to problem solve. Teams must work together to understand and solve the challenges of each situation. Current Breakout situations incorporate math, science, history and language arts, as well as team building activities that will help build a strong community within my classroom.
