Every year, I have been working very hard on helping my students take ownership of their learning. By having a classroom iPad, students will be able to create instant portfolios to share online with multiple family members at once. They will be able to take pictures of any work they want to add to their portfolios at anytime. They will also be able to create books, projects, and a wide variety of things at many different levels to share with everyone. By adding the element of technology to creating student portfolios, working on projects, and managing classroom behavior more students will be engaged in learning. The students will be more liable to complete work to be able to use the new technology, so that they can share the new excitement with friends and family. It is my goal to eventually have a classroom set of iPads, because they are the most user friendly tablet out there. No matter how small, we have to start somewhere!
