I am moving into an empty classroom this year and I need supplies and materials to make my room conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. I believe students learn best when they can be the most comfortable in their environment, whether it be in a bungee chair or on the floor with a clipboard. I also love having my students ditch their notebook paper and use their white boards while learning! It helps keeps them engaged and part of the lesson. With these bunker charts and stack stools, my students can select their best seating option. We need clipboards and white boards if we're not going to be in our desks. I want my classroom to be a comfortable environment that helps students be their best learning selves! I hope that providing the comfortable environment will increase my students' commitment to learning and good behavior. Being comfortable somehow allows the student to stay vested in the task, and their behavior is equally positive. They are willing to work with others, share ideas and move around the room.
