Working with Legos has great educational benefits for students. Having a Lego wall where my students could collaborate together to create and display projects would be extremely beneficial to our whole student body. Building with Legos will not only improve creativity with my students but will help develop problem solving, organizational and preplanning/construction skills. Legos are a fun and enjoyable way for students to think in three dimension, while motor development and eye-hand coordination skills are being practiced. There is also the literacy element as students often have to read instructions in order to build. A Lego wall in the library will be a place where all students can come and explore, take risks and discover either as a group or own their own.
