My classroom is the last chance for many of my students. All have spent time in alternative settings. They come to school every day with challenging behaviors and academic struggles but the do come with a desire to read. Learning to read is one goal many of my students share with me at the beginning of the school year. I'm talking about 4th and 5th graders that want to learn to read not Kindergarten students. This project will help my students gain confidence in their abilities and learn to read. My students made progress last school year with their reading and I'm blessed that they get to return to me this year to make even more.
