Privacy shields are durable and last a long time. Vandalism from previous students along with daily use have resulted in the need for new ones. I chose these specifically because I can see the students' faces while they are working. This enables me to spot students who need help. The character trait of honesty supports the need for privacy shields in my classroom. I plan to use these daily during independent practice. It is important for me to see the skills each student needs to be successful. Students need to take ownership and pride in their own work and not depend on their neighbor as a resource.
