My students are trying their hardest to learning virtually during these difficult times. Some students are in centers where children are loud and unfocused. Having headphones would allow my students to block out the noise and focus on what I am saying on during the lesson. Having a microphone will allow them to speak to me without interference from the students in the background. When my students are engaged during virtual learning, they can gain some of the skills they may have lost in the five months we have been out. I want my students to be successful scholars and successful scholars need to focus on what the teacher is saying not the noise in the background.
