Sitting at desks for 6 hours a day, while simultaneously trying to focus and concentrate, can be very challenging for students. In order to help my students increase their engagement and focus, I want to provide them with alternative places to work and collaborate. One way to do this is through providing work bike workstations, which allows students to move and expend energy without distracting others or causing problems for themselves. So not only can students move while working, but they can also redirect any excess energy or fidgeting behaviors, allowing them to better focus on their work. Your generous donation will help students find a spot to work where they feel most successful, and where they can better channel their energy into their projects and assignments! Brain research shows that movement can increase blood flow to the brain, which can facilitate learning. Work bike workstations can also help students with ADHD, by giving them a chance to move while they work. I am so excited to be able to offer my students a place to work that will better meet their individual needs, and I thank you for your consideration!
