The first two days of my spring break, I attended a seminar on how to foster creativity in a classroom. One of the points I took away from this class was to transform the classroom into an inviting and flexible place that will encourage creativity. I went to my classroom and lowered the legs of a horse shoe table down to a foot. Students will be able to gather at this table and sit on the pillows to brainstorm ideas for their projects. They will be able to comfortable discuss, agree, disagree, on their ideas to then pick one they feel will be worth perusing. I also would like to help a few of my students calm and release their energy while sitting on the special stools that provide some motion and soothes their anxiety.
