I'm hoping to make this year one of the best and most memorable for my students. Third grade is a challenging year, students are taught everything from multiplication and division to fractions, the scientific method, and analyzing literary texts. My students are expected to learn this and more such as social skills and life and self care skills. By providing my students with a multi sensory approach to leaning they are more likely to be successful in all areas of their learning. By utilizing pocket charts I will be able to display visuals for lessons with the ability to change and update as needed. Students with autism need lots of structure and predictability during their day at school. Organizational tools aides in creating a routine and structured classroom environment. A classroom library of mixed genres and readability levels is an essential component of any classroom and having a print rich environment is very important to me. I'm lacking materials for teaching social skills and providing tactile stimulation, the products I chose from lakeshore will help fulfil this need and greatly benefit my students.
